    Balmer is seriously out of touch with what Microsoft has done.

    Microsoft has moved off of a desktop licensing model and has moved to a cloud and software as a service business model. They just gave up charging for Windows 10 in China, or for that matter everywhere else.

    The trouble with charging for Windows 10 is that the moment you do it, people will stop using Windows and move to Linux or Android.
