I'm sure China would be very happy with tax-free, unlimited access to the wealth of resources and untapped market that is Africa, but the nations of that continent might not necessarily be interested in an FTA with the industrial juggernaut that is China, as certain protections are still needed to ensure things like industrial development, social stability and even food security. As these nations continue to clean up the mess left by colonialism, some may reach out to China and other world players for greater trade links.
