Globalization as charted by elites & the State-Heads from the developed world, had a tremendous impact on the Capital flows. With little infusion of FDIs , followed by State failure and scarcity of funds , the signal became stronger for the elites to link to the overseas capital markets. Record increase in money offshoring was observed. The period 1998 to 2013 was crucial for the developing world, with more than a million clients (elites from the developing world) across the globe offshored, layered and consolidated about $ 32 trillion in various offshore locations. All vital developmental money squeezed out of countries, created another phase of anarchy , which lead to cultural destruction and increase in social tensions.
Various studies conducted to assess the impact of globalization on social tensions and conflict in the developing countries, clearly showed that the outcomes like 
1. State failure 2. Deprivation 3. Scarcity 4. Migration only aggravated the situation, and kept the small developing States in a state of constant conflict.
Glaring examples are seen in African, Asian and European countries like-
Somalia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Libya, Sudan in Africa,
Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan in Asia, and
Ukraine, Albania, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Algeria, Turkey in Europe.
One thing markedly observed is that poor citizens in these countries chose to migrate rather than seek fresh avenues for income within their States. State failure only aggravated the situation further, as migrants became a burden. Its the vicious cycle of State failure, followed by deprivation, scarcity and migration that kept the societies simmering during the post 9/11 era. The young generation i.e. the workforce percentage of the population in these countries have decreased abruptly, thereby creating a fresh problem of ageing generation. Social tensions have also been aggravated by dividing the populations within these nations by selective funding of terrorist groups. One needs to stop and re-think about the globalization that is being run on behest of the power elites.
