First, it’s not because Americans willingly purchased it and it was not regulated. Second, it has been banned recently and any further direct purchases of fentanyl is illegal, and only criminals are doing this point but only at a low scale. Third, Canada and China came up with an agreement to not only ban fentanyl but also to ban the base components from being purchased easily, or at all, and developing a co-operative policing scheme. If Canada can negotiate such a deal at 10x less the size of the United States then USA can certainly get such a cooperative policing deal as well.
I suggest toning down the rhetoric and actually trying to solve the fentanyl drug problem.
