China's largest low-cost carrier has signed an agreement with Airbus to use the Skywise Core platform in the airline's fleet.

Spring Airlines will integrate its operational, maintenance, and other aircraft data into the Skywise cloud and receive data-related services through it.

The Shanghai-based airlines operates an all Airbus A320 fleet of more than 80 aircraft.

The agreement between Spring Airlines and Airbus is an important step for Skywise application in the Chinese market.

A statement says both sides will work closely together to develop and demonstrate new data-driven applications in the civil aviation sector.

By the end of last year, there were more than 1,700 Airbus aircraft serving in the Chinese market.
