In the 5th day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, commonly known as "Dragon Boat Festival" is a traditional Chinese folk festival. The first five can be called the end five. From the historical records, the two words of "Dragon Boat Festival" were first seen in Zhou Chu's "wind and earth record": "midsummer Dragon Boat Festival, cooking rice noodles". The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival for the Han people of our country. The essential activities on this day gradually evolved into: eating zongzi, racing dragon boat, hanging Acorus calamus, Artemisia argyi, fumigation Atractylodes, Angelica dahurica, and realgar wine. Eating zongzi and dragon boat racing is to commemorate Qu Yuan, so after the liberation, the Dragon Boat Festival was named "poet's Day" to commemorate Qu Yuan. As for hanging calamus, Artemisia argyi, fumigating Atractylodes, Angelica dahurica, and realgar wine, it is said to suppress evil. The Dragon Boat Festival is the traditional custom of the Chinese people for more than two thousand years. Because of the vast area, many ethnic groups and many story stories, it not only produces a large number of different festivals, but also has different customs. The Dragon Boat Festival has been a national holiday from 2008. The state attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritage. In May 20, 2006, the folk custom was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of state-level intangible cultural heritage.
