Batik Pulau is a Malaysian Batik specialist that was established in 1980s under the management of Lim Trading.
We trade & wholesale a great selection of Malaysian Batik products & handicrafts including 100% cotton genuine batik clothes, men shirt, blouse, tie, coin purse, cosmetic purse, gold pouch, bags, handkerchief, apron, baking glove, pot holder, tissue holder, hair band, pencil case and others, all in a mixture of modern and traditional designs. In addition, we also cater custom made batik uniforms for companies and factories as well as OEM shirts for souvenir shops and boutiques in Malaysia and overseas.
Batik is a resist process applying wax and dye. We specialized in stamping method uses copper or zinc blocks dipped in melted wax and stamped onto meters length of white cotton. The cloth is repeatedly dyed and stamped with wax until the finishing step when the wax is boiled out of the cloth. It is hung to dry on a clothesline and then folded for sale in the market.
