This story was told by my boss in Chinese,i tried to tranlate it into English by my self.And i think that it
is very useful for the new worker that have no experienced,or the person that only dreams have,but
not know how to realize it. Sharing with you all.
Serge is a apearl place in the west Sahara desert,every year there will be tens of thousand of
tourists coming here for interview. but before Ken Lay found it,it was closed and poored.
nobody in the place had went out of the desert.It was not they are lazy and love ther homeland,
but after??many time's try ,they coundn't go out.??Why?
Of course,Ken Lay did not believe the stange explanation.he asked the located people with body language
to know the reson, it was surprising that everyone gave the same answer:from here,no matter which direction
you went,finally you will get back to the starting point. So Ken Lay planed to have a try to??testfy whether the answer
was right,he chosed one direction and went,after three and half day,Ken Lay was out of the desert.
But why Serge man coundnot do it? Ken Lay was in astonished.At last he decided to employed one located person
to act as a guide and konw the strange reason.they prepared food and water for half months and two camels,then
started.Ken Lay packed up all moderned equipments including compass,and followed him just with a stick for tired.
About 800 miles after ten day's walking,on the morning of 11th day,they came back to Serge as the answers.
but Ken Lay found the reson why they didinot go out of the desert,that is they didi not recognize the Big Dipper
at all.
If a person walked ahead by feeling in a endless desert,??the route will be many little or big circles,just like a
tape measure.And Serge is in the middle of desert,there was no frame of reference,so it is impossible to went out of
the desert if you do not have the compass or recognize the Big Dipper.
When Ken Lay left Serge,he took the young men who he had have employed,Aguteer.Ken told him,you could sleep
during the day,when it was night,you walked ahead to the star in the north.and Augteer didi it as what Ken said.
three days lather ,then walked out.and Augteer became the pioneer of Serge.
