According to local media reports, Qatar's Ministry of economy and trade recently banned imports and sales of products from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt.
Qatar's "motherland" website reported that Qatar's Ministry of economy and Trade issued a statement late 26 days, requiring that all malls and shops in Qatar must be from the four countries' products and prohibit the import of products from these four countries at the time of the announcement.
The statement said Qatar implemented the measure aimed at protecting consumers' rights and interests and cracking down on illegal trade activities.
Last June 5th, the Saudi, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, on the basis of Qatar's "support for terrorism" and "undermining regional security", declared a break off with Qatar and imposed a embargo on Qatar. Subsequently, many countries announced a break from Qatar. On the 23 day of the same month, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt transferred to Qatar a 13 point request to resolve the "crisis of disconnection" through Kuwait, but the Qatar reply did not satisfy the four countries, and the four countries continued to maintain the sanctions on Qatar.
