Descriptions | White crystalline powder. Needle-like crystals was recrystallized by benzene. Odorless or nearly odorless, with bitter taste. 10% aqueous solution of the PH value of 6.5-7.5. Boiling point 150-160(55.66Pa) can be distilled. Slightly hygroscopic crystals. Dry state less than 50 very stable. Aqueous solution has good lightfast. Being heated with inorganic acid and alkali hydrolysis into niacin. This product is soluble in about 2ml of water, 1.5ml of ethanol and about 10ml glycerol. Soluble in acetone, amyl alcohol, chloroform, propylene glycol, n-butanol. Almost insoluble in ether, benzene. |
