With more than ten years of experience, cultivos marinos san cristobal s. a. has a modern land-based abalone farming facility, as well as an marine seaweed farm center, both located near the city of Caldera, in Chile's northern, desert region of Atacama.
Pioneers in the japanese abalone farm, haliotis discus hanna, and later the california red abalone haliotis rufescens, San Cristobal is currently one of the main producers and suppliers of abalone in our country.
This production is based on the sustainable extraction from abundant wild brown sea weed meadow, as well as the seaweed farm, which constitutes the main source of feed for San Cristobal Abalone.
