About the company
- Honjien is a tea and tea accessories shop in Okayama city which was established in 1931 and has a long history.
We began mail-order sales in 1995, and currently operate seven different online sales portals.
We have the highest share of sales in the 'matcha', 'tea accessories' and 'Japanese tea' categories on the shopping website Rakuten, one of the most famous online shop in Japan.
We handle top-quality matcha from the long-established tea producer Yamamasa Koyamaen, as well as many other varieties including our own HONJIEN brand.
The main products we handle are:
- Japanese-produced tea, original matcha, 'Yamamasa Koyamaen' matcha (which is well-known as a type of matcha used in traditional tea ceremonies), Kanbayashi Shunsho Honten
