KURA CORPORATION
Established in Osaka in 1977, the company was incorporated as KURA Corporation in 1995. The corporation operates "Muten Kura Sushi," the largest revolving sushi restaurant chain in Japan with 385 locations (as of May 2017).
Following the concept of "safe, delicious, affordable, and fun," we pride ourselves to eliminate four major food additives from our products as well as from more than 200 ingredients we use: chemical seasonings, artificial sweeteners, artificial colorings, and artificial preservatives. Not only a variety of sushi, but we also offer various side menu such as ramen, udon, beef bowl, curry, desserts, etc.
We also implement innovative systems such as the game-like activity "Bikkura-Pon!" using empty plates, a sushi cap protection called "Mr. Fresh," and the time designation reservation system to reserve a seat with a mobile phone. Kura Sushi is the revolving sushi restaurants for all age groups to enjoy safe and fresh sushi for only 100 yen per plate.
The chain's high quality service has earned excellent reviews in Japan. In fact, Kura Sushi was ranked top in the Restaurant Chain Industry Division of the Japanese Customer Satisfaction Index (JCSI) in 2016.
The company plans to expand further and open more locations not only domestically, but also internationally. Its wholly owned subsidiaries "Kula Revolving Sushi Bar" operate 12 locations in the United States and 7 restaurants in Taiwan (as of May 2017).
